Sampling for examination. Sampling for examination shall be conducted in accordance with MIL-STD-105, with an AQL of 2.5 (percent defective) and an inspection level of II. The unit of product for examination purposes shall be one curette as specified in this description.
Examination. Examination shall be conducted to determine compliance with specification requirements.
Defects
Style and design not as specified for the applicable style and number curette.
Instrument not constructed as specified.
Operative end finish not as specified.
Honed portion of operative ends not blended at junction of shank to form a smooth contour.
Instrument not permanently and legibly marked with the name or trademark of the contractor.
Instrument identification not present, properly located, or not complete.
Curette not free of dirt, oil, compound or foreign matter.
Handle serrations or knurling missing, not uniform or not complete.
Interface of shank and handle not smoothly blended with no crevices evident.
Sampling for tests. Sampling for tests shall be conducted in accordance with MIL-STD-105 and as specified herein. The inspection levels and acceptable quality levels (AQLs) shall be as indicated below. The unit of product for test purposes shall be one curette.
