Operation. The vibrator shall be for intermittent use. It shall be capable of operating without failure when operated with a 1 lb. load at intervals of 5 minutes on a 5 minutes off for 100 cycles when set at the high position.
Fire and casualty. The vibrator shall conform to the requirements of Underwriters’ Laboratories (UL) 1262 or an equivalent nationally recognized independent laboratory.
Finish. Metal components shall be corrosion-resistant or suitably protected against corrosion.
Identification marking. Each vibrator shall be permanently and legibly marked with the name or registered trademark of the manufacturer, model designation, serial numbers, and electrical characteristics, such as voltage, frequency and amperage.
Service data. Two copies each of a technical manual which contains complete instructions for installation, operation and maintenance, and list of component parts shall be furnished with each unit.
Workmanship. The vibrator shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit. Each (EA). One vibrator, as specified, constitutes one unit.
Quality Assurance Provisions.
Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contact or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements.
