Blade. The blade and pins at each end of the blade shall be fabricated of heat treated steel. The blade shall be flat with teeth filed and set in alternate opposite directions in accordance with standard commercial practice. The blade shall include a securely fitted pin through each end which shall engage and tension the blade into the frame. The blade shall be of the design and dimensions shown in figure 2. The blade shall be hardened and tempered and shall have a Rockwell hardness of C50 to C53. The blade pins shall be hardened and shall have a Rockwell hardness of C35 to c45 when determined in accordance with ASTM Designation E-18 (Rockwell) or E-92 (Vickers or Diamond Pyramid). The back ends of the blade shall have squared, dressed edges.
Workmanship. All parts shall be symmetrically made, smoothly and properly finished, and shall be free from defects which detract from their appearance or may impair their serviceability.
Unit.
Class 1. Each (EA). One (1) saw frame, as specified, constitutes one unit.
Class 2. Package (PG). One package containing six blades, as specified, constitutes one unit.
