BRUSH, CLEANING, DENTAL SUCTION APPARATUS TIP

This commercial item description covers a brush for cleaning the bore of dental suction tips.
Salient characteristics:
The brush shall be suitable for cleaning a dental high velocity evacuation tip with a 25/64 inch diameter bore and 6 inches in length. The brush shall be a twist-in wire brush. The brush face shall be 3 ± 1/4 inches in length and 1/2 ± 1/64 inch in diameter, and shall be made of nylon bristles .005 to .006 inch in diameter. The nylon bristles shall be tightly held by the twist-in wire assembly to preclude loss. The one-piece wire used for the brush shall be 0.030 ± 0.002 inch diameter stainless steel or galvanized steel wire. The handle twisted wire section shall be a minimum of 3/64 inch in cross-section and 4 ± 1/4 inches in length, including a 1/4 ± 1/16 inch diameter finger loop at the proximal end. Up to 1/8 inch of the distal tip of the twisted wire may be free of bristles.
Material. Material shall be new and of the highest quality throughout and suitable in all respects for the purpose intended.
Workmanship. Brushes shall be free from defects which detract from their appearance or impair their serviceability, proper function and intended use. Construction of brushes shall be made by controlled means to insure uniformity of size and shape.
Unit. Package (PG). One package containing 6 brushes, as specified, constitutes one unit.
