COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
TABLE, OVERBED
Mobile
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
This commercial item description covers a mobile, adjustable overbed table suitable for use in medical facilities.
Salient characteristics:
The overbed table shall be an adjustable, single pedestal table supported by four casters. It shall be furnished in the following two types:
Type I- Dark wood grain color table with vanity and mirror.
Type II- Walnut color table.
Type I.
The table shall consist of a base, a telescoping pedestal containing an automatic lift mechanism for height adjustment, and a top. The table shall have a minimum adjustment range of 14 inches from not lower than 28 inches from floor level to tabletop, to not higher than 48 inches.
The thermosetting plastic laminate table top shall be of a dark wood grain color and have minimum dimensions of 14 inches by 30 inches. A vanity drawer with a mirror shall be attached to the underside of the tabletop.
The table base shall be an “H” or “U” shaped assembly. All open ends of tubing shall be closed with caps. The base shall be equipped with four casters. The casters shall be a ball bearing swivel caster, not less than 1-1/2 inches in diameter or a 2 inch roller-type caster. The casters shall be capable
